Dear Members,
Please see the below updates regarding Collective Bargaining Agreement Negotiations and the League’s termination of their OneLax Partnership Agreement.
Collective Bargaining Agreement Negotiations
We are happy to share that the NLLPA and the League have now passed Term Sheet Proposals back and forth as we continue to negotiate our successor CBA. We will continue to meet with the NLLPA Negotiating Committee and Executive Committee to provide feedback on our proposals. Jessica Berman has been leading negotiations on behalf of the league; however, her last day with the NLL is on April 19th. The League has not decided who will be taking over her position yet. While the league is searching to replace Nick and Jessica, we will continue negotiations with the League’s Negotiating Committee and Board of Governors. During this time, we expect Max Twer, Director, Lacrosse Operations & Legal Affairs, to be our main point of contact.
OneLax
Please be advised that the League partnership with OneLax was terminated due to a breach of contract by OneLax. The League consulted closely with the NLLPA to ensure that this termination was in the best interest of all parties. We took individual player agreements with OneLax very seriously and we did not want to prevent an opportunity for our members. Unfortunately, OneLax did not fulfill their obligations to the League. Therefore, OneLax is unable to fulfill their obligations to individual players who they had agreements with moving forward.
As a result, no player will be permitted to use OneLax equipment during NLL competition. Wearing OneLax gloves will result in a fine from the League and a delay of game minor in-game penalty under rule 33.1. All team and League marks will not be permitted in any OneLax promotional elements inclusive of, social media posts, website engagements, or in person events. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Thank you,
Reid Reinholdt
