October 25, 2021 – COVID Policy

Hello Members,

 

The league has finalized this season’s NLL COVID-19 Policy and Protocol (“COVID Policy”).

 

Please familiarize yourselves with the attached COVID Policy to help ensure you remain compliant throughout the year.  To help navigate the document, please see the below summary:

  • How to be considered fully vaccinated (pg. 8)
    • The US has changed positions on AstraZeneca and mixed does – both are now accepted and individuals are considered protected in both the US and Canada.
  • Symptom Monitoring & Testing (pg. 9 & 21)
    • Once weekly testing
    • Complete symptom screening 3 times weekly (Quick 3 questions uploaded to PRIVIT)
    • Please see the below sample schedule:

  • Travel (pg. 15-19)
    • Entering Canada
      1. Pre entry negative COVID 19 PCR test result (taken 72 hours prior to departure)
      2. Quarantine plan in case you don’t qualify for the exemption
      3. A receipt from the ArriveCAN app outlining your proof of vaccination (2 images for 2 doses)
      4. Other travel documents (e.g., passport)
    • Entering USA
      1. A negative viral (either PCR or Antigen) test result taken within 3 days preceding the flight’s departure or documentation of recovery from COVID 19 in the past 3 months preceding the flight’s departure to the United States
      2. Proof of vaccination (physical or electronic copy)
      3. Other travel documents (e.g., passport)
  • Management of Symptomatic (And/Or COVID-19-Positive Persons) (pg. 24)
    • If you test positive for COVID-19 or you are symptomatic, please refer to the flow charts on page 24 & 26.
  • Interactions Involving Players/Club Personnel and Third Parties (pg. 30)
    • If you have an agreement for off-field employment, camps/clinics, appearance, etc, please review this section of the policy.

Note:  The summary provided is aimed at vaccinated individuals.  If you would like more clarity on the obligations of unvaccinated individuals, please reach out or refer to the COVID Policy for more information.
